Is StintBox really free?
Yes. The free tier includes 16 widgets, all data sources, and 1080p export. No account required, no time limit, no credit card. Upgrade to Pro for 46 widgets, 4K, and batch processing.
Windows SmartScreen shows a warning?
StintBox is not yet code-signed (coming soon). Windows SmartScreen may show "Windows protected your PC." Click "More info" then "Run anyway." On macOS, right-click the app and select "Open." The software is safe — code signing is in progress.
Does it work offline?
Completely. All editing, rendering, and export works offline. An internet connection is only needed for initial license activation (Pro) and periodic checks every 7 days. Perfect for trackside use with no cell signal.
What data sources are supported?
GoPro (GPMF), DJI (SRT), Insta360, Sony, Garmin (FIT/GPX), RaceBox, Wahoo, iRacing, ACC, TrackAddict, generic CSV, NMEA, TCX, KML/KMZ, and more. See the Features page for the full list.
Do I need the desktop app to use the mobile app?
No. The mobile app works independently — record telemetry from your phone's GPS and sensors, view live data, and review sessions. For full overlay editing and video export, use the desktop app.
Is there a CLI?
Yes. Run stintbox render, stintbox batch, stintbox watch, or stintbox extract from the command line for headless and automated workflows.
