Is StintBox really free?
Yes. The free tier includes 16 widgets, all data sources, and 1080p export. No account required, no time limit, no credit card. Upgrade to Pro for 46 widgets, 4K, and batch processing.
Is the download safe?
Yes. Windows builds are digitally signed by Kameli ApS via Microsoft Azure Trusted Signing, and the macOS app is signed and notarized by Apple. Always download from stintbox.app, and verify the installer's SHA-256 checksum under All platforms → Details if you want extra assurance.
Does it work offline?
Completely. All editing, rendering, and export works offline. An internet connection is only needed for initial license activation (Pro) and periodic checks every 7 days. Perfect for trackside use with no cell signal.
What data sources are supported?
GoPro (GPMF), DJI (SRT), Insta360, Sony, Garmin (FIT/GPX), RaceBox, Wahoo, iRacing, ACC, TrackAddict, generic CSV, NMEA, TCX, KML/KMZ, and more. See the Features page for the full list.
Do I need the desktop app to use the mobile app?
No. The mobile app works independently — record telemetry from your phone's GPS and sensors, view live data, and review sessions. For full overlay editing and video export, use the desktop app.
Is there a CLI?
Yes. Run stintbox render, stintbox batch, stintbox watch, or stintbox extract from the command line for headless and automated workflows.
