Why use Catalyst over a phone GPS?

The Catalyst records at 25 Hz (25 readings/second) with a high-sensitivity antenna. Phone GPS is typically 1 Hz, resulting in much coarser data.

Does StintBox use the Catalyst coaching data?

StintBox imports the GPS, speed, and lap timing data. The coaching suggestions (braking points, optimal lap) are Garmin-proprietary but the raw data is available in the FIT export.
