Which GoPro models have telemetry?

All GoPro Hero 5 Black and newer models include GPMF telemetry. Make sure GPS is enabled in camera settings.

Do I need to enable anything on my GoPro?

Yes — go to Preferences > GPS and make sure it is turned on. The GPS icon should appear on screen while recording.

Can I use GoPro videos recorded without GPS?

You can still add overlays, but GPS-dependent widgets (speed, map, altitude) will require a separate telemetry file such as a GPX from another device.

What about GoPro MAX 360 videos?

StintBox reads GPMF from MAX files. For best results, export your 360 footage to a flat MP4 using GoPro Player first, then import into StintBox.
